College Scholarships for Catholic Scouts

Service to Church. Community. School. Scouting.

The National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS) awards ten scholarships totaling $27,000 every year to service-oriented, college-bound high school seniors who are Catholic Scouts in a BSA program.

Here are the requirements a Scout has to meet to be eligible for a college scholarship:

  • Be a practicing Catholic
  • Be a full-time high school senior
  • Be a registered young man or woman actively involved with a Scout Troop, Venturing Crew, or Sea Scout Ship
  • Earned the Eagle Scout, Summit Award, or Quartermaster Award
  • Earned the Ad Altare Dei, Pope Pius XII, or Light is Life (Eastern Rite) Religious Emblem
  • Provided service and leadership to your Church, community, school and Scouting

NCCS selects ten scholarship award winners from eligible applicants each year. Applications are due by March 1st.

This is a great opportunity for Catholic Scouts!
